For prospective graduate students:

We primarily train doctoral (Ph.D) students. Students whose goal is to obtain an M.S. are generally not recruited, though the degree can be awarded as an "escape hatch" for a doctoral student who desires an early exit.

If you are interested in pursuing a Ph.D in the lab, Eric would be happy to hear from you via email. This is not essential for application to the Biological Sciences umbrella program, but can often facilitate admission.

For prospective postdoctoral researchers:

As for graduate students, email queries to ehaag@umd.edu are always welcome. Inclusion of the following information is especially helpful:

1. your CV

2. one or more representative publications

3. a short statement (i.e. a page or less) about what aspect of the Haag Lab's research has attracted your attention.
