The main purpose of the center is to promote excellence in teaching and learning in the College of Chemical and Life Sciences. Towards this end we organize conversations on Teaching and Learning for faculty, postdoctoral scholars and graduate students (in coordination with campus CTE), share teaching innovations and discuss pressing issues in undergraduate science education.

We design programs to meet the needs of new faculty and new teaching assistants as they begin their teaching and research responsibilities. We encourage coordination among departmental 701 courses and other courses dealing with university teaching.
