From I-270 take the 495-beltway inner loop east to exit 25B (College Park).
From I-95 follow the signs for U.S. 1, South (from I-95 southbound the exit number is 27, which will take you to exit 25B from the inner loop).
At the end of the (long) exit ramp, make a right turn (south) onto Route 1 (Baltimore Ave).
Go south on U.S. 1 / Baltimore Ave. about 0.9 miles.
Turn right onto MD-193/Univ. Blvd.. Go west about 1.4 miles.
Turn left onto Stadium Dr.. Take a right at the first traffic circle and go straight through the second.
Park in lot 1 (1b), where parking is free this week (because we are in intersession). Do not park in lot Z and do not park in lot 5
Last year you may have parked in lot 5, which is closer to the Bioscience Research Building, but it is not available to visitors this year. This is a change. We recommend lot 1, but parking is free in any numbered lots, except lots 5 and 19 (lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, 11, 15 and 16 are available to anyone).
Also, note that Comcast Center will be used for Bladensburg High School graduation, which starts at 9:00. You are advised to avoid Rt. 1 altogether and to leave yourself some time. It will take you about 8 minutes to walk to BRB from Parking lot 1. Directions from Laurel (Google) detail the interchange at 495 and the best route onto campus.

The DC Metro serves the University of Maryland at the College Park stop on the Green line.

There is a shuttle bus, the 104, which is running on 10 minute intervals this week.
The Bioscience Research Building is a 28 minute walk from the metro station.
Buses leave from the east side of the Metro station. But if you are walking, go under the tracks and walk west towards campus (map for walking).

Amtrak: - From New Carrollton (NCR), take a cab or arrange a ride (about 15-20 minutes drive).
(Union Station is best if you're taking Metro, but you can take the Orange line to the Green line, changing at L'enfant ).
From Union Station (WAS), take Metro (Red line to the Green line).
New Carrollton is slightly closer. Union Station is much nicer (and closer by Metro). Most Amtrak trains stop at both stations, and the ticket price is the same.

Marc: - A very small number of trains run each weekday and stop at the College Park Metro station (Camden line).

    DCA (National) Airport:
You can take a cab (about $35-50) or Metrorail from the airport. Take the Yellow Line (toward Mt. Vernon Square), transferring to the Green Line (toward Greenbelt), and get off at College Park/U of MD metro station. See the information just above for Metro information .

    BWI (Baltimore Washington) Airport:
You can use Supershuttle (about ~$35; 1-800-258-3826, or supershuttle.com) or take a cab (about $60).
