Dr. Ma's group is broadly interested in insect reproductive physiology with emphasis on vitellogenesis and ovarian development. They hope to understand the different mechanisms involved in the regulation of vitellogenin production and its internalization in developing egg follicles and the development of oogonia into mature eggs.
