The Lab Bank
The College
of Life Sciences ran the very successful Summer Biology Institute (SBI)
for a period of ten years. The Institute was an in-service program for
secondary school biology teachers that was largely focused on laboratory
and field activities. One of the interesting programs in SBI was the development
of laboratory exercises by the participants. Many very excellent lab exercises
were developed by the SBI teachers and we thought it appropriate to make
them available to colleagues in other locales. The Lab Bank offers some
of the best examples of the SBI experiments and also provides an opportunity
for other teachers to submit their experiments for presentation in the
Lab Bank.
