The Master of Life Sciences Program offers admission exams for its areas
of concentration in Biology and Chemistry. The exams consist of two parts,
an short answer part and an essay part. These are timed exams and for
each case the student must score more than 50% in the short answer part
to be allowed to proceed to the essay part. The entire exam (parts I and
II) is taken in one sitting with the essay part graded immediately by
computer. STUDENTS MUST BE PREPARED TO TAKE THE ENTIRE EXAM
The two exams differ
slightly.
The
Biology exam consists of
:
Part I, 50 multiple choice questions that must be completed within 60
minutes
Part II, 10 essay questions which must be completed within 90 minutes
STUDENTS SHOULD ALLOT AT LEAST THREE HOURS AT ONE
SITTING FOR THE EXAM
The
Chemistry exam consists of :
Part I, 40 multiple choice questions that must be completed within 60
minutes
Part II, 2 (two) essay questions which must be completed within 60 minutes
STUDENTS SHOULD ALOT AT LEAST TWO AND A HALF HOURS
AT ONE SITTING FOR THE EXAM Students taking the Chemistry exam
should also have a calculator and a periodic table available.

Biology and Chemistry are available and should be used to familiarize
you with the format of the exam.
