CLFS 609A: Food Safety and Genetically Modified Foods

As I write this, my identity may become apparent, but that is okay. This was, without a doubt, the BEST CLFS course I have taken. No offense meant to the other professors, but Dr. Jack was highly organized and utilized the Blackboard effectively. Her pacing was always reasonable and her assignments were on target for the course objectives. None of the assignments were unreasonable either for length, material requested, or the time frame in which they were due. I really enjoy these Web-based courses. Keep up the good work!

I found this course very interesting and the pace was realistic. Although there were more assignments than in the last course I took, most of them were shorter and required less time. However, they were valuable. I especially liked the TIP's. They were excellent ways to apply our knowledge of the course content to what we teach. It's challenging to create new, exciting, and "real-life" projects for students when teaching full time and taking courses also. But, this was a great way to integrate the two. Great idea!

I enjoyed the course and I now have a much deeper understanding of GM foods. I will be able to use a lot of the material in my classroom.

Dr. Jack is very understanding and she allowed us to adapt to this new technology. She is also very competent in her field.

This was a very interesting and valuable course to anyone, not just biology students.
