College of Chemical and Life Sciences Representatives
A College of Chemical and Life Sciences representative visits key faculty and administrators
at the proposed partner institutions. The directors of programs such
as Minority Access to Research Careers (MARC) and Minority Biomedical
Research Support (MBRS), supported by NIH, are our first points of
contact. The next contacts are department chairs, directors and deans
in the chemical and biological sciences. These are key persons with
access to high-quality students. Additionally, these initial contacts
must involve crucial people such as the directors of honors programs
and preprofessional programs, as well as academic administrators to
whom biology and chemistry departments report.
Partner Institutional Representatives
Invitations are extended to faculty mentors and key administrators for
an overnight visit to the campus for a reception, dinner, research forum
seminars, and to meet our faculty and tour our facilities.
