Fifth Annual Organismal Biology Day

This event was jointly sponsored by BEES, Entomology, Biology, the Smithsonian Institution and the College of Chemical and Life Sciences.
The Organismal Biology Day seminar was delivered by National Academy of Sciences member Barbara Schaal. The program included three "warm up" presentations by Smithsonian Institution researchers: Bruce D. Smith (National Academies member),
Melinda A. Zeder and
Dolores R. Piperno (National Academies member). The seminar was followed by a poster session and dinner open to all in the Biosciences Research Building.
