Research Interests:
My broad interests include sexual selection, reproductive behavior, alternative mating strategies and the interplay between cryptic choice and sexual conflict. I am studying opilionids (harvestmen, “daddy-long-legs”). With several common genera in eastern North America, harvestmen frequently exhibit differentiation in genital morphology, temporal distribution, and behavior. I hope to better understand how morphological and behavioral properties may have led to species and mating-system diversity as the result of dynamic sexual arms races.
