The Fourth Annual Organismal Biology Day was a big success!

This event was jointly sponsored by BEES, Entomology, Biology, the Smithsonian Institution and the College of Chemical and Life Sciences.

The Organismal Biology Day seminar was delivered by National Academy of Sciences member Rich Lenski on Thursday, April 23, 2009. The program included the seminar at 4:00 followed by a poster session and dinner open to all in the Biosciences Research Building.

Faculty members, students and post-docs gathered in the BRB Colonnade to talk about their research.

A large group of BEES members and affiliates and guests continued discussions over dinner.

Laura Craig received the BEES Service Award for her contributions to the BEES student community.
Katie Schneider received the BEES Research Award for her research achievements.
