The Colleges of Chemical & Life Sciences and Education jointly offer a double major, with either Biological Sciences or Chemistry as the primary major, and Secondary Education as the secondary major. These double major programs allow students to earn a Bachelor of Science degree with two majors while simultaneously satisfying the State of Maryland teacher certification requirements.
A student with a double major in either Biological Sciences or Chemistry and Secondary Education will be qualified to teach Biology or Chemistry at the secondary level and will have access to teaching positions in counties across Maryland.
