Factors Influencing Restoration Success


As part of the Paynter Lab’s ongoing effort to improve the success of oyster restoration in Maryland, the lab conducts experiments to try and understand some of the primary factors influencing oyster restoration in the Chesapeake Bay.  These projects are conducted by Paynter Lab staff with the help of students and are an important part of our lab’s activities. Also, much of our work is done in collaboration with researchers at the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science's Horn Point Oyster Hatchery.
