STUDENT AWARDS 

Leonardo Oliveira and Jean-François (J-F) Savard were awarded Ann G. Wylie Dissertation Fellowships for the 2009-2010 academic year. Leo is studying golden-headed lion tamarins in Brazil; he is advised by Jim Dietz. J-F’s research involves courtship behavior of Australian satin bowerbirds. J-F’s advisor is Gerry Borgia.

The Graduate School has awarded 2009 Summer Research Fellowships to Elise Larsen and Qinwen Liu. This funding, matched by their advisors, Bill Fagan and Eric Haag, respectively, will allow them to dedicate their time to research this summer."

Lisa Pfeifer received the Graduate Student Award from the President's Commission on Women's Issues, in recognition of her commitment and service to the campus community.
