Biological Science - Secondary Education Double Major

In response to a growing need for qualified biological sciences teachers at the secondary level, the Colleges of Life Sciences and the College of Education  designed a new Biological science/Secondary education double major. This double major program allows students to earn a Bachelors of Science degree with two majors while simultaneously satisfying the State of Maryland teacher certification requirements.

A student who completes this program will be uniquely qualified to teach Biological sciences at the secondary level and will earn access to numerous teaching positions in counties across Maryland. For more information on this new program or to declare a double major in Biological Sciences/Secondary Education, please make an appointment to see Ms. Jennifer Hayes-Klosteridis (301-405-2080) or Dr. Joelle Presson (301-405-6892).
