Advising Assignments for Early Registration

Chemistry and Biochemistry majors

  • If you have been assigned an advisor, your advisor's name appears on the Registration and Appointment Status page within the Records and Registration section of Testudo.
  • Chemistry and Biochemistry majors are advised in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. Dr. Michael Montague-Smith is the Coordinating advisor. For further information about early-registration advising, contact the Undergraduate Program Office, 2102 Chemistry Building (405-1791).
Biological Sciences and Environmental Sciences majors
  • If you have been assigned an advisor, your advisor's name appears on the Registration and Appointment Status page within the Records and Registration section of Testudo.
  • Once you have identified your advisor, go to Making an Advising Appointment to find the procedures for scheduling an appointment with your advisor.
  • About 90% of Chemical and Life Sciences students have already had their advisor's name entered into the database, and we expect to have this information available to the remaining students prior to the start of early registration. In most cases, advising assignments will be unchanged from last semester. In a few cases advising assignments may change between now and the start of early registration (eg, assignments for students who recently changed majors, students with unsatisfactory academic progress who are in need of special assistance, and Biological Sciences majors who recently completed the foundation courses and are ready to be assigned a faculty advisor). Please check your advising assignment for any updates 3-4 weeks prior to your Early Registration date (as soon as you receive your early registration reminder email). Your reminder should arrive by late October (Fall semester) or by the end of spring break (Spring semester).
  • If you have no assigned advisor, please contact the Undergraduate Academic Programs Office or the Coordinating Advisor for your specialization area.
