Undergraduate Program Office


The Undergraduate Office of the Department of Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics works with the Undergraduate Offices of the Biology Department, Entomology Department, and the College of Life Sciences to offer the Biological Sciences Major.  Our office administers the Biological Sciences Specialization Areas: 
  • Cell, Molecular Biology, and  Genetics (CMBG), 
  • Plant Biology (PLNT), and 
  • Microbiology (MICB).
Out faculty our responsible for courses in these disciplines, and for advising students who choose these Specialization Areas.  As the research interests of our faculty is included in these areas, students benefit from working with faculty who are leaders in these fields of study.  Students may choose to perform research in faculty labs, thus extending what they have learned in the classroom, and receive research credit.
